Hans de Visser, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia said, “The hallmark of Sheer Driving Pleasure for the BMW brand, the BMW 3 Series is a remarkable sports sedan that we are proud to locally assemble here with all-new technological updates for our customers in Malaysia. The BMW 320i Sport has delivered close to 2,000 units since its January 2020 release, and this success comes as no surprise for the best-selling premium sports sedan in Malaysia. This new addition serves to prove our consistent investments in the local automotive industry, in hopes to continue driving its recovery in the year ahead.”
The latest generation of the BMW 320i Sport now arrives with the new BMW Live Cockpit Professional infotainment system to provide users a fast overview of important information on their everyday drive with enhanced convenience and accessibility. Updated for contemporary mobility – the New BMW 320i Sport.
The New BMW 320i Sport continues to impress as the world’s best-selling premium sports sedan with a classic BMW 3 Series design language that inspires sporting fascination. Following in the footsteps of its most recent predecessor, both the front LED fog lights and the air curtains integrated into the outer air intakes are inserted into the front apron in a horizontal T. The variant is also further equipped with sporty 18-inch light alloy wheels in V-Spoke Style 780 Bicolour.
The New BMW 320i Sport retains the 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, paired with the 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. The premium sports sedan is capable of generating a top speed of 235 km/h, with a maximum output of 184 hp at 5,000 – 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 300 Nm at 1,350 – 4,000 rpm. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, the New BMW 320i Sport also consumes 6.3 litres of fuel per 100 km and generates 144 g/km of CO2.
The premium sports sedan is now refreshed with the new state-of-the-art BMW Live Cockpit Professional, designed with a drive-focused orientation. The upgraded information cluster that consists of the central information display and instrument display cluster also received updates, with the former now equipped with a new 10.25-inch display featuring a resolution of 1920x720 – a step up from the previous 1280x480 on an 8.8-inch display. The instrument display cluster, on the other hand, features a new large 12.3-inch display, a significant increase from the previous 5.1-inch.
The focused and fully-configurable display also features a minimalistic, uniform appearance that offers more space in the centre for navigation and other important information prioritised by the driver. The selected Driver Experience modes in Sport, Comfort and Eco Pro are also displayed with a consistent colour and visual treatment across the instrument cluster and centre display.
The New BMW 320i Sport also features a new rev counter with counter-clockwise RPM movement, along with the fuel level, speed and engine temperature presented in tube rings. Configurable functions and widgets include the sports scoreboards, driving data, fuel consumption and efficiency, as well as the G-Force meter and radio or media playback.
The New BMW 320i Sport continues to offer segment-leading innovation such as the Reversing Assistant for hands free, semi-autonomous convenience when reversing in narrow streets, along with the Rear View Camera that is fitted as standard – powered by the latest BMW Operating System 7.0.
The New BMW 320i Sport also arrives with the advanced BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant that is a voice-activated feature providing the driver with a complete and convenient control over the vehicle settings, navigation, and entertainment systems. The system can be activated via a simple “Hey BMW” expression or an individual personal activation word. Additionally, the BMW ConnectedDrive continues to equip owners with the Intelligent Emergency Call and Teleservices which reacts automatically if an accident occurs.
